Meet the IMPS Baseball team!
A few fun facts:
· The IMPS Middle School team (Varsity and JV) are part of the Wake County Club Baseball program
· The team is fully funded by the coaches/parents as most County middle schools have to make the tough decision of what athletic teams the schools will fund
· We just completed tryouts and we’ll be getting ready for the Spring season with practices starting in late January
Instead of doing the typical fundraising (selling barbeque for example) we decided to do something a little different this year. We are asking family and friends to make a donation as the money is needed to pay for fields, umpires, uniforms, equipment and indoor training facilities. Any amount you could contribute will help make a difference for these boys as our team is fully funded by the parents without any school contribution.
Another change this year is our commitment to making an impact on those around us who are less fortunate. We’re speaking with various local charity’s to conduct a team building event to get our boys involved in an afternoon of community service. It’s important to help others in need and a good lesson for our young boys to learn in these formidable years. The event will take place in the Jan/Feb timeframe.
