Hey folks, I need a li’l help.
I’m going on a mission trip to Johannesburg, S Africa on August 4 with a team from Open Door Church to support Impact Africa and I’m asking for donations to help me get there. The experience will surely be life-changing but most of all I feel called to help, to spread the Word, and bridge between those that don’t know how awesome it is to be forgiven, loved, and saved by having a relationship with Jesus.
Any donation amount will help towards my goal of raising $3000 to cover travel costs, immunizations, insurance and other logistics. I need to raise $1400 by June 11, and the rest by July 9. Any additional that is raised will be donated to Impact Africa.
What is Impact Africa’s mission? To motivate, educate, disciple and provoke individuals toward a passionate relationship with Jesus Christ through socially relevant outlets or ministry service, which in turn deeply impact individuals, communities and nations.
We will work in the heart of poverty – in settlements known as squatter camps, where more than 12 million South Africans reside in makeshift dwellings of scrap plywood and sheets of plastic. The residents of the camps are overwhelmed by desperation, causing little hope and breeding issues like AIDS, poverty, crime, substance and sexual abuse. But it is in desperation that people become open to looking for something that leads to a better life.
