Illegal foreclosure on elder woman

On October 17 2017, an Elderly African American woman who inherited her home in North Berkeley from her now deceased mother, was illegally foreclosed on by Wells Fargo. She was ripped off by a number of fraudulent companies that took thousands of dollars and didn’t help her. Her lender , Wells Fargo has continuously denied a loan modification (although we pay tax dollars in order for them to grant Loan Mods) without giving reason. They even went as far as forging her signature.
She was in the process of having her loan modification reviewed when they withheld that information , went through with the sale and illegally foreclosed on her.
The Frazier Family has been at this location in Berkeley since 1965. They have always been very well loved by their neighbors and are the longest ones to live on this block and the only African American family in the area.
The family is well known for providing outstanding childcare and took in a lot of the children that are now adults, from the neighborhood.
The new generation in the Frazier Family home has started another successful Childcare business and now has nowhere to go and doesn’t know what to tell the parents of the children who are in the care of Creative Lee Childcare.
This is all due to fraud and illegal activity! Nothing has been approved by the court but they have sold the property that we are still residing in and have not even had the decency to inform us of any of this!! We only know because we have friends in the real estate, etc. field that have access to this information.
We are hoping to get a great lawyer to fight this battle and find a new location that isn’t too far to continue providing care to the children as well as find a location for our family that has a total of 4 young children and 3 adults (one with a rare chronic illness) and tenants that are living in the home.
Any donations will help us & will forever be appreciated.
We cannot allow them to continue to do this to people and get away with it because they know it’s an extremely costly and time consuming process. We are not the first & I'm sure not the last. This is something that needs to be brought to media’s attention ASAP!
