Ilgert's Organic Acres fund

My name is Michael Ilgert and I want to help others improve their health by providing them with nutritious and delicious organic food fresh from my farm. Food that nurtures and heals one's body without the man made chemicals and processing that are weakening our bodies leading to various ailments. Many leading nutritionists and alternative farmers call this feeding your body with "clean, nutrient dense" food!

I am already doing this on a small scale with raw, whole milk from grass fed Jersey cows, fresh organic eggs from free range hens and some vegetables from my garden fertilized with well rotted animal manures and decaying plants. No chemical sprays, fertilizers, antibiotics or growth hormones are ever used. I believe in using organic and natural methods for the superior health of my soil, my animals and my customers health.

My concern now is that although I am working hard and smart and producing a quality healthy product, I am on such a small scale that I am not able to earn a full time living doing this and not sure how much longer I can continue. I need to expand but expansion costs money. Banks and most lenders are quite cautious when dealing with small entrepreneurs. I heard about GO FUND ME and thought that this would be the answer to help me get to the next step.

To get to the point where this is a viable business, I need to add an addition to the barn with hydro and water; add and upgrade equipment to make things more efficient and reliable; become certified organic to build more trust with future customers; add more cows and chickens and garden space; train new staff to help with the workload; and spend some time and money marketing what I have to offer.
