Memorial Fund for Scott "Ike"

This Go Fund Me Page is being established to assist Scott "Ike".

Ike is battling stage 4 Gastroesophageal Cancer which was diagnosed in 2015 and has a 4.5% survival rate up to 5 years after diagnosis.  He is supported by his wife and extended family. While his support system is strong, it cannot keep up with the growing costs and demands of receiving medical treatment every two -three weeks.

In spite of his illness, and its impact on Ike, he continues to push and devote himself to fighting for children; giving countless hours of his precious time  anytime they call on him.  He provides a source of safety to these children and an example of perseverance in the lives of abused children.

Ike's ongoing challenges in dealing with never ending chemotherapy, multiple changes in treatment, and of course, everyday life are quickly taking their toll. 

The daily impact of his illness has prevented him from working and depleted his family's safety net.  Healthcare expenses have added unrelenting stress to his already stressed family, still, he perseveres!

They are at the point where their resources are stretched to the limit and additional assistance is necessary.
