Hello and thanks to everyone reading this…

The United Nation(UN) Food and Agriculture Organization estimates that 233 million people in Sub-Saharan Africa were hungry, undernourished and/or unemployed in 2014-7 (its most recent estimate). 795 million people were hungry worldwide.  Sub-Saharan Africa was the area with the second largest number of hungry people, as Asia had 512 million, principally due to the much larger population of Asia when compared to Sub-Saharan Africa.

According to data from the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in Sub-Saharan Africa, the youth unemployment rate hovers around 12 percent.

According to Statistics South Africa, in 2015, more than 50% of Africans lived in poverty. Further research by Unesco Institute for statistics also shows that 30.4 million citizens out of 55 million lived in poverty. That’s three million more than just four years earlier. For example, trading Economics proudly presented a decrease South Africa’s unemployment rate of 1% by the fourth quarter of 2017.

Poverty in Africa is caused by corruption, poor governance, poor land utilization and land tenure system, and unending political conflicts, poor infrastructure, diseases and poor health facilities and most importantly increasing rate of unemployment. There’s a lot of work to be done to battle poverty and unemployment in Africa. Ignite Africa pledges to make a difference. Stand with us, as we stand for those struggling to get on their feet.

We are in dire need to raise funds to help provide entrepreneurial and business motivational opportunities for young minds rooted in the hearts of Africa. We aim to change the way young Africans see the world around them. Awakening them to a world of resources and opportunities. Ultimately, we aim to provide a means for people not just living in Africa but all over the world. Help us to provide motivation for improvement of current standards to the next phase of living.

Our organization is an online media publication featuring news, finance and investment, fashion, entertainment and more centered around Africans, Africans in the diaspora and African Americans around the world. We have global partnerships expanding our audience in North and South America, Africa, and England.

We have a vision and mission to raise funds, by all means, to move young minds in Africa from good to great and eventually to unstoppable.

We've been in existence for close to half a decade but have been operating pro-bono. Our team would appreciate your support in helping us raise funds to kick off our project and go global. We discuss the practice of specialties and get it published with the purpose of using your story to inspire our general audience from America to Africa as a whole.

We intend to raise a total sum of $35,900 in 8 weeks to kick off our first phase of the production process. The funds raised would be used to produce our first season of "Ignite Africa "Iconic Mind Exploration"... an 8  episode interview session designed to mine and explore the minds of guest Iconic Legends from across continents and enable them to share their "grass to grace" stories with the audience. Stories of how they came through the trenches, rose above challenges, overcame obstacle, and became living legends. We will use their stories inspire our audience from all over the world and in the heart of Africa most especially.
