Please help us give the gift of Christmas to families in Igloolik, Nunavut.
Every year, as the holidays approach, families gather together to celebrate with festive decorations, feasts and an exchange of gifts. It's easy to forget that there are many families struggling just to put food on the table for their children. These families need your help to provide a Christmas dinner and a few gifts for their children.
Igloolik - ᐃᒡᓗᓕᒃ - 'Place of igloos'
Igloolik Nunavut, - an Inuit hamlet in the high Canadian Arctic. Home to approx. 1,500.
The community of Igloolik, in partnership with the local Co-op, and Feeding Nunavut are raising funds to provide approximately 300 Christmas Hampers to those in the community that need a little help this holiday season.
Igloolik Christmas Hampers typically include all the fix'ins to make a Christmas dinner and a few small toys for families with children.
Donations of toys for our Christmas hampers are appreciated and can be contributed through our Christmas Toy Drive .

• 60% of the territories children live in food insecure homes;
• 70% of Inuit preschool children live in food insecure homes;
• 76% of severely food insecure children regularly skip meals;
