Butterfly Rm Veterans Home Lewiston

As Dad neared his death we struggled as a family as he really wanted to die in his own home. We looked into hospice and other options for Dad, but it was just not going to be possible to move him.
In his final days, he was transferred to the "Butterfly Room," an end of life family suite in the Idaho State Veterans Home. The staff was a part of our family as we tried to make Dad comfortable as he prepared to "fly away". We had 14 family members living in the "Butterfly" room for 2 and 1/2 days. The staff provided food, blankets, pillows, and most of all TRUE love and support as our family lived together waiting for the Lord to take Dad.
The "Butterfly" room and staff at the Veterans home will always be special to our family. However, the "Butterfly" room needs a makeover badly, new couches, chairs, curtains, etc. We are working directly with VLAD (Idaho Veterans Assistance League) to make this possible, please help us make this a reality. The staff is there to serve these American Heroes in their final hours, let's allow them to go out in comfort and style. Every penny raised will go to the "Butterfly" room...
Please watch the enclosed video to see how the staff and veterans treat every home going veteran. In the video Dad's exit from the facility begins at the "Butterfly" room.
