I’ve struggled with lack of confidence, anxiety, depression and suicide ideation quietly for over 10 years now. I can have the most positive talks outwardly and the most negative inward thoughts. I’m an optimistic person who loves to dream and inspire other people to believe in themselves. At the same time I often feel like a failure who is hopeless to become a better artist and person. I can contemplate and meditate on visions of changing the world with my gifts as an artist, host and social entrepreneur. I can also ruminate on my poor knowledge retention, my horrible literacy, my social anxiety, poor communication, bad memory etc.”- Jermaine Henry
As a coach, facilitator, and emcee who has worked with thousands of young change-makers and adult allies over the last 4 years. I hope to share this book as a toolkit in workshops especially with young Black and Indigenous people searching for hope, and rewriting Ourstory.

Why now?
I'm 27, why not?
Really tho… "it's not what age you are- it's what page you're on."
I made it onto the front page of the Toronto metro newspaper. "From spoken word artist to speaking up… "
Now people are looking and listening to my work. It seems as if I've 'made' it; people wondering who am I? What do I do? What's my story?
It's humbling people have been inspired by me!
Truth be told - - - I've been struggling as a community artist and social entrepreneur to sustain my dreams. The demons of doubt, debt and depression have dragged my dreams down this dirt road of delay.
Yet on this road less traveled, what keeps me trodding is 1) my belief in Divine 2) other people believing in me 3) me believing in other people...vice versa
That's the sentiment of this book- it's an one on one guide along the road of I-doubt across the bridge(book) to I-believe.
