Ian was first diagnosed with skin cancer at the age of 27 in the autumn of 2018.
After initial radiation treatment and multiple excisional surgeries, it was revealed that his cancer had spread beyond the skin at an uncharacteristic rate—resulting in a high-risk and life-threatening prognosis. Now, battling the obstacles of advanced stage diagnosis, extensive chemotherapy/immunotherapy treatment, and additional surgical intervention, Ian deserves our support.

Ian is no stranger to confronting tragedy with bravery and grace. I first met Ian during a time when he was simultaneously putting himself through Brown University and facing the unexpected loss of his father. More recently, after losing his younger brother—who’s health Ian invested every ounce of himself in safeguarding—I watched a man once more demonstrate the true meaning of strength and resilience.
Ian is one of the most loving people I have ever met. He is a giver. He is a fighter. Most importantly, as he fights for his life, Ian is worthy of the same support he has so often shown to others.
