 AUSTIN, TX
For the past 10 years thousands of the future filmmakers of Austin have found the tools - the technology - and the passion to share their voices through the movies they produce.

As the nonprofit manager of Austin's world renowned public access telesvision studios -- we were proud to make sure all youth had access to their filmmaking dreams.

Now -- as we plan the final iYouth Film Festival and Filmmakers Boot Camp this summer -- WE NEED YOUR HELP! The grant we received only goes so far and we very much need to raise additional funds!

A pledge of $5.00 will help fund our scholarship program so more underserved kids can attend Boot Camp. A pledge of $10.00 goes a long way in making honorariums available to the hardest working indie filmmakers anywhere - the pros and artists who give of their time to mentor these youth.

We look at each and every dollar as a jesture of goodwill towards your community - one that goes a long to make this last iYouth Media Film Festival and Filmmakers Boot Camp a complete success.

And we think like Bernie - it's not the Big-Donor-Bucks that make iYouth work - its hundreds of folks like you who can contribute $1 or $5 or $10 - any amount matters to the young man who received our first scholarship this year.

His mother wrote that she while she battled breast cancer - her son was her hero and that he was very excited and passionate about going to our Filmmakers Boot Camp.

"He has done so much for me as a caregiver while battling cancer starting at 13 years old. I would like to give him something back to show how special he is and how much I appreciated his strength during hard times."

All of us at channelAustin so appreciate all your support these past 10 years! Thank you for any help you can give!!!

Dear Friends,

I am sending out this personal note as our Go Fund Me campaign winds down.

Most of you know that I and the incredible staff at channelAustin worked very hard these past 10 years to create an amazing, unique youth program that was always inclusive, very creative, one-of-a-kind, accessible and a lot of fun!

This is our final year to host the Filmmakers Boot Camp and the iYouth Film Festival.

If you do truly know me you know how difficult it is for me to ask for money. But I promise you this will be the last time. By donating any amount that you are comfortable with will help underserved youth attend the Filmmakers Boot Camp on scholarship. Your generosity will also help provide incredible high-end professional equipment for the kids to use to create their own movie masterpiece. We also provide honorariums for the independent filmmakers who mentor the teens throughout the week.

Your generosity will go a long way to make this final Film Festival and Filmmakers Boot Camp a huge success. On behalf of myself and Grace Hubbell and all the folks who worked in the iYouth program we thank you!

Hello Everyone, I just want to say thanks so much to all those who have donated so far, we are now almost 1/4 of the way to our goal!

Help us get all the way there by sharing our page please! This is iYouth's last year, let's go out with a bang! Also, if you know any young aspiring filmmakers out here who did a video project in the last year, have them submit to our film festival! It's only 4 days until the deadline!
