I want to Walk with my Wife Again

I've know Doug for over 10 years. He is energetic and eager to help. Over the last few years Doug has been slowing down. He is in pain when he walks. His doctors say he needs a new hip. Doug can't afford to pay for hip surgery. He can't afford to be off work. So he has been putting it off. Finally it has become so painful that he has extreme difficulty walking. Even sleeping is difficult. By the time he leaves work he is dragging himself to his car. He tells me when he gets home he is hanging on to the furniture to walk through the house.

Doug has seen two doctors who both agree he needs a new hip. He has been told he will be out of work 3-6 months. The surgery and rehab out-of-pocket costs (after insurance payments) is $15,000. The gap in his pay for four months out of work (after State Disability) is $10,000. So Doug needs $25,000 for this surgery.

Doug needs to have this surgery in Janauary.

Please help Doug to be able to hold hands and walk with his wife again!
