I lost my parents to deportation

Donation protected
My name is Nereida, I am 20 years old and just a few months ago I lost both my parents to deportation.

On May 24, 2018 my parents were on their way to my job to bring me coffee for my birthday when they were both detained by ICE officers only across the street from where I work.  A couple of hours later, a family member called me and said they'd both been arrested and taken to a detention facility.  The next week my dad was deported and another two weeks later so was my mom.

I am now in charge of my two siblings, Estrella (16) and Jake (14). Luckily, we have family members that are willing to be with us. I work and go to school full time, but with teenage athletes, it can be a little difficult to maintain everything.  As devastating as this has been, I keep working, knowing these next few years will be difficult.

I never ask for help, but this time its not just me who is being impacted, its my siblings. They won't get the same mother-father experiences I had growing up, and I don't want this tragedy to alter the way they look at life.

I am asking for help in getting through this hard time to help pay for rising rent costs, medical care for one of my siblings who has a chronic illness, and the daily struggle of now having to raise a family as a full time college student.

Please donate to help me care for my siblings like they deserve and please share with your friends and family.

Thank you,

Nereida
