He’s called me “mommy” since he was a baby, I’ve been his only “parent”.  He doesn’t have a “daddy”, grandparents (he knows I’m his grandma, but I’m also “mommy”), nor cousins near his age, & will never have siblings. He has me, & I’m sick.

I loved him the moment I saw him, I wouldn’t, & couldn’t have ever let him go from home to home to home, when I had a “home he belonged in”, with me his grand mommy.

I’m 56, he is almost 7, and I have 11 autoimmune diseases (Lupus, Sjogren’s, RA, Interstitial Cystitis, Hypothyroidism, Fibromyalgia...) My term life insurance for him wouldn’t renew my policy because of my worsening health. I’ve owned my home for 15 years, it’s our “safe, secure, comfy...place”. When we come home, we say, “Hi Home”.

Now, because I’ve been on “medical leave” (I was a Police Officer for 16 years, & a Criminal Investigator for 14 yrs), and have had huge medical bills for years (due to 3 stints on chemo, to suppress my immune system), hospital stays... I am way behind on my mortgage (thankfully I’m receiving my full disability pay now, which means I can afford my house payment again, I just don’t have the “arrears”).

My mortgage lender will not give me a loan modification because I have “equity”, they want “our home”. That equity is for my grandson. If I don’t live another 13 years he will have no one who can raise him, & he will need money for someone to support raising him, money for college... (life insurance is gone now, they wouldn’t renew because of my health).

This is also our “Home”, where we’ve been safe, secure, built memories....

Our house goes for auction on January 19th.

I’m asking for your help, to bring my mortgage current so we still have “our home to go home too”, so the equity for my grandson is protected. This year my dad unexpectedly passed away, then 6 weeks later my grandma died from a broken heart, then 2 months later, my mom passed away after a 2 year horrific, painful, and sad battle with Alzheimer’s. My health can’t take more loss, we can’t lose our “safe place”, my grandsons current & future security.

My grandson is “my life”, he has and deserves all of my attention, love, & energy. Everything I’ve done since he was born has been for him. He is an amazing, giving, loving, sweet, & kind young boy. He’s also incredibly friendly and funny, he’s  incredibly special (sadly, he was born addicted to opiates, & has some medical issues from that).

I call him, “honey bunny boo boo”, “sweetie”, and other names us moms call our children. The other day I said , “I love you sweetheart”, he asked, “What’s a sweet heart?”. I explained that it’s someone with a very sweet, kind, & loving heart”. That night  he looked at me, and said, “Goodnight mommy sweetheart”....

Thats him. Please help me to continue to make his life as safe and secure as possible. We can’t suffer another loss, the loss of “Home”.

Thank you will all our hearts ♥️

A person has committed to donating $18,000 and will be paying my mortgage company directly if I can raise the additional $42,500 needed to prevent the sale of our home. Words can not adequately express my immense gratitude to all of you who have donated, prayed for us, sent us well wishes... I am so grateful for you all. I’m holding onto hope and faith because of all of you! Thank you with all my ♥️♥️♥️
