I'm raising funds to help afford a venue for a Dreamflight fundraiser I'll be hosting later on this year, so far my idea has been a quiz night, games night or something similar in my local village :)
As a Dreamflight child myself back in 2014, i truly understand the importance of the work these volunteers do, and what a difference one holiday can make to children who live with disability or illness.
I'd like to give back something now ! (5 years in the making )
What is Dreamflight?
Dreamflight is a registered UK charity that changes young lives through taking children with a serious illness or disability on the holiday of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida.
What does Dreamflight do?
Dreamflight is not just a holiday, it does something that medicine can't. The children leave their families behind giving them an opportunity to discover independence, confidence, and a whole new outlook on life. Often for the first time, these children realise that they are not alone, and they are not the odd one out. They see children around them who have also suffered, they gain perspective, and experience things they never thought possible.
Just the time you've given to read this means the world to me, if you could share, spread the word, even if your unable to donate or are unable to travel to the future event I'd greatly appreciate it.
