Volunteer Trip To Thailand
Thank you for visiting my page and considering my cause. A little about myself first. My name is Nina. I live in MA working in the hearing field. I am a single 30 year old who wants to make a difference in the world. I have chosen to use my vacation time that I receive from work to travel to Thailand this June. I will be joined there by 18 other volunteers who willing be coming from various other parts of the world.
The organization:
CrossCulturalSolutions.org is a non for profit organization that was begun in 1995. Since then 25,000 people have participated in this volunteer program all over the world. I have chosen Thailand because of the beautiful culture and spirituality. I hope to learn as much about the community as I can during my stay. My purpose is to spread a positive influence while overseas and to make a difference in the lives of others.
Volunteer Settings:
-Education at risk children and aid in child development
-Spread awareness and education about the HIV/AIDS crisis in Thailand
-Advocating for womens rights and empowerment
-Working with the elderly and disabled.
