24th World Scout Jamboree
My name is Dara Shaw and I am extremely proud to have been selected to represent Girl Guiding Ulster & The N.I Scouts at the 24th World Scouting Jamboree in North America in July 2019.
After taking part in the selection camps I was informed I had made it through and I now have to fundraise the £3,585.00 required to finance this opportunity of a lifetime.
The 24th World Scout Jamboree 2019 will take place in West Virginia in the USA.This is an amazing opportunity for me to be part of the largest scouting event Worldwide where approximately 45,000 young people, from over 200 hundred countries, gather together to take part. The program follows four core values of Adventure, Service, Sustainability & Leadership, and of course making new friends from around the world!
During the next 18 months I shall be organising various fundraising events. So any help you can give me, either the form of fundraising ideas or a “heads up” on any local Church Fêtes or Tea Parties that I may be able to get a pitch at would be GREATLY appreciated!! But of course any donations now, no matter how small would also ease the pressure.
