Foster Family Flooded/Homeless

They have been taking care of the homeless in Beaumont, Tx. for two years now. And now, they are homeless.

Foster-Adoptive parents Robert and Jennifer McWilliams have three little girls who came to them through the foster system and who now bear the McWilliams name as their own.

In a simplicity and tenderness that seems almost effortless, this sweet couple lives charity and love for the less fortunate as a way of life, more than anyone I've ever known. Even when it has cost them emotionally, physically, and financially.

Last October, they bought their first home together to raise their girls in, and Jennifer filled every inch with love, trying out decor and inexpensive projects she found on Pinterest.

That home is now buried under water. The pictures you see here are their neighborhood and their house. Pictures, appliances, books, clothes, toys. All gone.

Please help.

People like this, who daily live their lives to protect and secure happy childhoods for children in crisis-blanketing them away from trauma and a perpetuated cycle of pain-absolutely MUST be helped when tragedy reaches their own doors.

These people are the "helpers" Mister Rogers told us to look for when tragic things happen that don't make sense. Robert and Jennifer McWilliams are ALWAYS the helpers you see coming to the aid and rescue of those who cannot aid or rescue themselves. Now it is time for us to rescue them.

My name is Lauren Nelson, and Jennifer and I worked together. She is a special lady and her family's charitable work, even in the midst of their own struggles had always given me hope.

Our goal is $10,000 to start. Everything is needed but weighing and prioritizing the when and what of all those details is still unclear. For now, funds will be used for immediate needs and to rebuild their lives piece by piece.
