"Thank You" does not begin to express our gratitude for the overwhelming response to the Club Orient Employee Relief Fund that was set up and that raised over $125,000.00 in 17 days. Your gifts and warm wishes will indeed go a long way in helping Club Orient employees get their lives back on track after the devastation of hurricane Irma. This Go Fund Me account will close out at 11:59 pm CST on Friday, September 29th. Dispersement of the funds raised here has begun for the 132 employees.
It has been both gratifying and humbling for all of us at Bare Necessities to be a part of this fund raising effort, but it was YOU that made it happen and we will never forget all the kind words, generosity and outpouring of love for the great staff at Club Orient . We are so proud to be a part of this community. While we may not always "suit up", you can be sure we will ALWAYS show up for a cause that hits close to home as this one has.
So... what's next for Club Orient?
FOR NOW - CLUB ORIENT RESORT REMAINS CLOSED DUE TO THE DEVASTATION CAUSED BY HURRICANE IRMA.
Please understand Club Orient has limited communication on the island and no access to their reservation or accounting system.
They truly appreciate the messages they have received offering to help with clean up after this crisis and the very generous offers of donating deposits and pre-paid stays towards the rebuilding fund for Club Orient.

At this time, the need for funds is critical, and this is absolutely the best way you can help going forward while the resort awaits disaster aid funds to repair and rebuild the resort.
Unfortunately, the resort is unable to return deposits for future stays at this time, due to lack of access to a bank or operating funds.
They ask for your compassion and patience, as they work through this process.
