Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia (CCEVA) is a not-for-profit 501C3 that has served the needs of the Hampton Roads community for more than 84 years. CCEVA distributes more than $100,000 in financial assistance each year to help families facing unforseen crises. CCEVA is teaming up with Sinclair Communications and Chartway Federal Credit Union to raise funds to assist families in Hampton Roads who were devastated by Hurricane Matthew. 100% of funds received by CCEVA will go directly to help local families adversely affected by the storm pay for shelter, medical supplies and/or to assist families facing huge financial deficits to rebuild their lives. CCEVA will not take any administrative fees from the total raised and all monies will be used to assist local families.

CCEVA will work with those with major post-storm needs by paying mortgage, rent and/or storm repair bills to help ease their financial burden. CCEVA will also work with those who do not qualify for FEMA help.
CCEVA will withdraw the funds from this campaign and will work to pay some of the bills of those with major storm damage who can prove their need. Many have lost everything -- any help you can provide will go a long way to bring a sense of normalcy back to their lives!
