Hurricane Harvey Help/ Vass Family

So as most of you all know areas of Houston have been devastated by the largest amount of rainfall in the contiguous 48 states: over 50 inches in some areas!!My name is Daniel Ellis and I live in Maplewood, NJ a suburb of New York City.  I am fully aware of the devastion a hurricance can create as I went through the horror of Super Storm Sandy and saw the damage it did to my area.  My dear childhood friend Jessica Megginson Vass, her husbandDavid,  2 dogs, and three children had to be rescued from their home as water came not just in their yard but in their home and their garage. They just came back from staying in a shelter (pictured) and found that not only was the first floor of  their home damaged but it also had sewage that had backed up due to the flooding. So everything from walls, cabinents,  furniture, shoes, appliances are simply ruined. They did not have flood insurance and so they are forced to deal with this the best they can. However, they have three kids, two dogs, and Jessica is a drama teacher at her nearby high school and David is a master carpenter (who is a Marine Veteran) and takes jobs doing his craft while working at a Lowes Department Store.  They are in dire need of financial help for work shoes for Jessica, money for bleaching the first floor of their home, replacement of funriture and cabinents on the lower level of their kitchen, and all the carpentry supplies that were destroyed in the garage that David worked in. They would never do this so I am doing it for them. I care very deeply about these loving people who do so much for so many and so I want to help them in any way I can. I cannot imagine the worry that is heavy on their hearts with how they are going to deal with all of this devastation. If you are hoping to directly and tangibly help a family or someone who is in deep need from Hurricane Harvey, please consider helping here.  I have estimated $20,000.00 and I beleive this is a conservative amount of money in replacing the things that are now destroyed along with the daily essentials of life.
