For 13 years the B-Forc! Bound for College Readiness Program has coached families of college bound students to successfully begin their college journey with big scholarship wins. We are located in Georgia, but we coach/scholarship prep families from all over the country.
Around this time 12 years ago, we watched helplessly when Katrina swept New Orleans away...it also swept away some students college dreams, their plans and the items the students needed to be successful...laptops, books, clothes etc.
Then here came Harvey and now a few weeks later Hurricane Irma referred to as a nuclear storm, more powerful than the fiery of Katrina, we are sadden by these unplanned events and trying to be proactive for the new storm. As parents we totally understanding the cost of college, saving or scrapping up the money to cover extra expenses and items beyond tuition to live on or off campus. Such items are hard to replace and without help can be disheartening, whether the student is an incoming freshman or on the cusp of their senior year.
Well, not this time, we refuse to let a college dream...drown. The B-Forc! "The Bound For College Readiness Program" has created this fund to solely serve as Fiduciary Lifeline for the college students who are affected by Hurricane Harvey. College students across central and South Texas, are now facing challenges that has interrupted their plans, classes, college dreams and much more.
We know many of you have already given, but very few are giving and supporting the college students who have lost a lot also. Every dime collected will go to a student in need...we will start giving checks to the students who reach out to us via our B-Forc! page www.facebook.com/boundforcollege once they have validated their enrollment and submitted a letter from the college/unversity that was caught in the wake of the hurrincane as confirmation.
The road to recovery isn't impossible and as a B-Forc! Nation you can help us, help them keep their college dream afloat.
