Hu Family - Blazed Home Repair

Two months ago, my dad was filled with excitement to be able to purchase his own house, without any mortgage. However, three days ago, he called to tell me the devastating news that had befallen on his new home - extensive fire damage, making it inhabitable. There is still no news on what may have caused the fire. As luck would have it, he does not have home insurance to cover the damages because, the deed is still being processed to be transferred under his name, and until then, he is unable to purchase home insurance. With his new home burned down, and no insurance policy, he is now also faced with a violation notice that requires him to repair or demolish his home within 30 days. 




I know my dad to be a very proud man, who would take on problems himself, rather than to let others help him.  As a student, knee-deep in debts, I can only offer my dad emotional support. I would, however, like to try and help my dad to raise a fund, to relieve some of the financial burden, and to contribute to the reparation costs. I have seen so many success stories on Gofundme, and the countless lives that have been positively impacted by the kind act of others in just spreading the news or donating to the cause. I am certain, that any amount of donation, or just spreading the word about my campaign will be forever appreciated and will most definitely uplift my dad's spirit.

In addition, I would like to raise awareness that fire incidences are much higher during the winter holidays. Thankfully, while no one was injured during the fire, I want to wish everyone to be careful and stay safe.
