Misericordia Home is an amazing community for God's special children and adults. My sister-in-law Kate has lived with Sister Rosemary Connelly and the wonderful staff at Misericordia for more than 45 years. Currently there are over 600 residents that call Misericordia Home.
I first visited Misericordia when my wife and I were dating more than 30 years ago. I was totally impressed and so my relationship with the angels of Misericordia began.
Last year my "Wild game Dinner" raised $20,000. I am blessed to have great friends who are not only generous and compassionate but they are loyal to the cause.
Our annual dinner is on March 22nd. We already have over 200 seats sold. There are already corporate donations of prizes and checks. We also received donations from several friends who can't make the dinner.
In order for us to break that $20,000 goal we set for this year, I need your help. A donation of any size would be so appreciated by Sister Rosemary and the entire staff of 1,000 at Misericordia.
It's up to Misericordia to raise $41,000,000 per year to cover the overhead. The State of Illinois only contributes $24,000,000 of the toal $65,000,000 it takes to give our angels the care they deserve.
God's angels deserve the best for the joy and love they bring into the word. Look at the picture I posted. Who is having more fun Kate or me???
Do yourself a favor and take a tour of the campus. I guarantee you will not leave depressed or feeling sorry for our angels. They will put a smile on your face and love in your heart.
