Martin's Recovery Center

Fourteen years now a recovering alcoholic/ addict the journey actually begins in 2005 having a spiritual awakening by the grace of God showing that I had a problem and how powerless my addictions made life so unmanageable. I began working those 12 steps and learning all about addiction, found my way to a career helping people in recovery working at the Abode treatment center in white settlement, TX now for 7 years. But more importantly helping my family life learning new skills in mediation relaxation, communication, and spiritual foundations on what is most important in life. My favorite groups are in family communication, life skills training, chemical dependency education, cognitive restructuring and counseling. 
                  The future looks exciting Martin Recovery Service will open with clients seeking recovery with alcohol and drug addictions. On first day clients screened for severity, intakes will consist of finding out just how difficult their path of recovery can be. Orientation includes three areas of discovery. First, is the area of Mental healing including skills to learn mediation, and quieting down the mind. Second, a physical challenge determining level of exercise that best fits the individual. Third, the individual learns to include spiritual foundations as a path toward healing and growing self- esteem. Finally, on the first day each client’s treatment plan written with consent forms complete, a commitment made seeking recovery for a lifetime. Their recovery includes individual counseling at thirty day intervals, along with crisis counseling whenever they need it. Education found within the individual and group counseling sessions. Reports and records kept daily both electronic and folder type. Referrals handled whenever required for specialized treatment, utilizing all 12-core functions and a commitment toward recovery installs healing and again a lifetime of recovery without relapse. An individual who needs change will seek change.
