Housing Deposit for Asylum Seekers

Help raise funds to put a deposit on a rental house for this little asylum seeker Emily and her family. Our goal is small - $1650.00 and no donation is too small --seriously a lot of $5 donations will do the trick. We are looking to fund by October 31.

Leonel was separated from his daughter by the Trump administration’s zero-tolerance policy this summer. For 72 days, he was detained separately from his 11-year-old daughter Yennifer. Leonel's sister and her then 1-year-old daughter Emily survived detention together. As you can imagine, it has been a very difficult road for them, both during detention, with its many hardships, and after, as they recover from the traumatic separation. But they are ready to start a new life and finding a stable home for themselves and their children, who have just started at new schools, is of the utmost importance.
They ave been accepted into a program to supplement the rent, but they need help with the deposit.
