Life-Long Missionaries Bob & Sue Need a Home!

Please help!

Bob and Sue were both young, single missionaries in South America before they met.  They fell in love and got married in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1982 and served God faithfully there for over 35 years.  In 2005, Bob was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL).  He underwent his first treatment in Argentina.  In 2010, their mission decided it was time to redirect resources to other parts of the world.  Bob & Sue still felt called to God’s work in Argentina and found another mission they could join. For the first time in their lives, they were responsible for raising all the funds to continue their work and so they returned to the USA to do so. While they were in the USA, Bob’s cancer required further treatment and so it took them 2 years to raise the funds to return to Argentina. In order to pay for his cancer treatments and their living expenses, they had to use all of their retirement and savings money. They were finally able to return to Argentina in 2013 where they continued to serve God faithfully, undergoing further cancer treatments, until it came to a point 2 years ago, that Bob’s health made it clear to them that they would have to return to the USA and retire.

Bob is 68 and Sue is 67.  Bob cannot work because of his health and Sue is currently working 2 part time jobs.  They were able to rent a furnished home when they returned to the community where Sue grew up but the owner wants to sell the house they are in.  They have never owned a home because they have always been missionaries living and serving in another country.  They have the opportunity to buy their current rented home for only $40,000 but do not have enough money for a down payment or to qualify for the mortgage, based on their income and lack of financial resources.

We, on our own accord, feel called to reach out to you, to help them buy this home and provide them with some physical and emotional stability after so much transition and so many health challenges. They have committed their lives, health, and hearts to serving others. It is time for us to step up and step in to be their family in such a stressful and emotional time. They have no children to help.  We are asking if you would consider giving whatever you can to help them have this home. Our goal is to raise the down payment of $8000. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if together we could raise enough to just buy them the house? Now THAT would be fitting for 2 people who have given their whole life to God’s service!

Let’s bless them together!

What the funds will be used for:
Down payment (20%) = $8000; Total for house = $40,000

When needed?  ASAP

"This support will help to supply a sense of security as we endeavor to purchase our first home.  It will provide us with physical and emotional stability in our retirement years. We will be greatly encouraged as we see the Lord’s Hand through the generosity of people we may not even know." - Bob & Sue
