We are Live Again Fresno, a Christ centered advocacy group serving the populations living in Fresno's Slumlord hotels. Our mission is to assist Hotel California [530 N Weber Ave.] residents in transitioning to permanent living situations and available rehabilitation programs.
Live Again Fresno believes that as children of God that everyone deserves redemption, and our mission is not to decide who is deserving but to serve without limits as the Lord calls us to. There are innocent children caught in this situation that have done nothing to be there, and aiding their families will ensure they don't miss a meal or a school day.
As of Thursday, January 5th, the Hotel California at 530 N. Weber Ave was deemed uninhabitable by city officials for electrical hazards. The owner is legally liable to pay relocation costs, security deposit and one months rent, which if not delivered by said owner will not be supplemented for the families currently living at the property.
Any funds raised will be used to relocate residents and transition them into suitable permanent living conditions in local apartments. This will specifically include but is not limited to providing two months rent, a security deposit, and groceries.
Residents must be off the premises by 9am on Monday, January 9th, so providing assets quickly is essential.
Assisting this hotel community is a very polarizing subject, and we kindly ask that all who disagree with this cause please express that sentiment by not donating to the campaign.
This mission is so important to us in that assisting our neighbors' transition to quality housing, we as a city can begin to suffocate the market for Fresno's Slumlord hotel industry.
We will be thankful and praying for the generosity of our donors, as well as the compassion of those who don't agree to quietly allow us to fight for these residents without denouncing or causing harm to others.

Why Live Again Fresno? We've spent the last 6 years building relationships with Slumlord hotel residents through ministry, education, and sharing meals together. This gives us a unique connection to allow our team to influence them out of their current cycle, alleviating crime and tax burden.
