Christmas Dog Attack

Friday around 12:50/1:00pm my dog, which is a teacup chihuahua, was attacked by a vicious pit bull mixed w/ another breed which could’ve been Rottweiler. I️ attempted to save my dog 3 times before the dog bit my dog’s intestines out of her abdomen, while the owner watched me as I️ fought with every bit of strength I️ had to save my baby girl. Long story short, the owner has yet to come forth and apologize nor has she offered to assist with any medical expenses. My dog was immediately rushed to the hospital where the doctors wouldn’t perform the surgery without us paying $1300 up front. Which the surgery went well but my dog is still fighting for her life. After surgery she was taken to a post surgery facility on Stephenson where the bill for her to stay there ranged from $1400-$3200. We weren’t able to afford the cost for our dog to stay the whole weekend to receive the proper care but we was able to come up with the minimum for her to stay 1 night. It’s now the third day my dog is still not well and we were instructed to bring her back in but unfortunately we can’t afford to do so during this Christmas holiday. We was also instructed by local news companies to post our story on social media to bring awareness, seek financial help, and even in hopes to possibly find the owner so she can be financially responsible for her dog’s behavior because she has yet to come forth.
