Emergency Fund for Animals in Need

Emergency Funds Needed
Every Euro helps.

Action for Animal Welfare Ireland is now setting up an emergency fund for animals in need of urgent intervention (that we as a group are able to assist with). Recently, we dealt with the very upsetting case of horse death and cruelty at Knocklofty in Tipperary. We liaised with the relevant authorities - pressing on them to take action.  An emergency fund will help us cover feeding, vet costs, and transport fees when needed.

We are predominantly a lobby group. Recently we held a public meeting in Clonmel in relation to the current equine crisis. As a result of that, we had a meeting with the Superintendent in Clonmel and we will soon have meetings with Department officials.

We strive to build positive relations with media outlets to ensure animal welfare becomes an issue worthy of headlines and airtime.

Please join us in our passionate pursuit: improving animal welfare in Ireland and ensuring the relevant legislation is enforced when needed. We want consistency in approach rather than the law being enforced on an ad hoc bases.

The time for change is now urgent. We intend to advocate for change until it happens. The animals in need of rescuing depend on all of us to do that for them: to be their voice and the guardians of their five freedoms. They deserve nothing less.

Thank you for being part of action for animal welfare in Ireland.
