Hope For Hannah

From day one Hannah has been a fighter. Born at 30 weeks Hannah spent 6 weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit before coming home. Hannah has a form of cerebral palsy called spastic diplegia which affects her lower limbs. She requires leg braces and a walker to assist with walking. She goes to therapy weekly and requires daily stretching and exercises. She has received Botox injections every three months for the past few years to help with the tone in her legs. Through all of this Hannah has remained the sweetest, most compassionate 5 year old girl you will ever meet. She cares so much for others and her smile and spirit lights up every room she walks into. She's just like any other 5 year old girl who loves being a princess, playing with her dolls, singing along with Taylor Swift,  and watching YouTube videos and Ellen Degeneres.

Hannah is having a life changing surgery in September 2016 called selective dorsal rhizotomy which has the chance to give her a significant increase in her quality of life and increase her mobility. The surgery requires at least a week long stay in St. Louis, plus follow up visits, and a couple years of intense physical therapy, possible orthopedic surgeries, and the need for many medical devices. Although insurance helps with some of these costs, there are many copays, deductibles, non-covered expenses such as travel, lodging, non-covered therapies, etc. that Hannah's family will incur over the coming years.

Hannah's parents would do anything for her and that includes swallowing their pride and asking for financial help for Hannah's medical costs so that she has every opportunity to achieve all of her dreams. Those dreams include being a doctor, teacher, wife, and mother.
