There’s Hope for Louise!

This sweet little lady is Louise (her name means Warrior), formally known as Hope! Louise is a four month old German Shepherd Puppy, and you may notice she looks a little different. She was born with a very rare spinal deformity that effects her T12 and T13 vertebrae, along with her rib cage.
A kind woman took in Louise, knowing she was a special pup. Upon examination her vet told her she will need several very expensive diagnostics to figure out the best surgical approach needed to help this sweet pup. They informed her it was going to be very very expensive and recommended euthanasia.
Well that wasn’t going to happen, so Louise’s savior reached out to the rescue world; and that’s how she came to be our newest member of the Saving GRACE family!
Louise is a sweetheart of a girl that loves everyone and everything she meets, she deserves every shot at living her best life and we aim to give her that! She hops around like a little bunny, and the vet doesn’t believe she’s actually in any pain, which is always good!
We’ve already got her an appointment set up with our amazing vet next week for a full exam and referral to a specialist for an MRI and any other diagnostics she will need. Louise will likely end up at Mizzou for her spinal surgery. Her finder was given an estimate of over $5,000 for all this. We have no doubt it will likely cost that, plus some, to give this baby girl a chance at living the long, healthy life she deserves!
This is where we turn to our amazing Saving GRACE support system! I have no doubt with help from our followers and friends we will raise this money for Louise!
