Hope for Joel Brown Newman/Barney

Hello my name is Joel Brown Newman.Some of my buddies knew me as Barney. I am from Freeburg Pennsylvania. I'm raising money for stem cell therapy for my Parkinson's disease. I also have had two back surgeries, two neck surgeries, left knee replaced and I've had a right knee and left foot problems. I must use a walker or wheelchair to get around most of the time. And can no longer work. I'm hoping friends and family and the wrestling community will help so I can have a better quality of life

I am an Avid Penn State wrestling and football fan. I wrestled 2 years in high school, my 10th grade and Senior year. Missing my junior year due to injury. Inthe summerof 1981, I qualified for the Pennsylvania freestyle and Greco-Roman All Star Wrestling team. I managed to become a high school All-American placeing 4th in Iowa City. My senior yearof high school wrestling I
managed to place third that 167  Pennsylvania Wrestling Championships. Wrestling the tournament unbeknownst to me with a broken arm.I had numerous injuries in college.In 1984 I won the freestyle Greco Roman Eastern Nationooal Wrestling Championshipsat Lehigh University. I followed up with a second place and third-place finish at Lake Placid New York for the 20 and Under World trials. Like a lot of .Wrestling competitors, I never accomplished all of my goals.But I can say,the sport of wrestling has introduced me to many fine people, from competitors, coaches and fans. It has also taught me never to give up, I would greatly appreciate,some financial help in order to get the stem cell treatments.. thank you for reading this, greatly appreciate the help, thank you Joel Brown Newman,.
