HELP REBUILD SAN LORENZO MOROVIS VILLAGE

               www.facebook.com/HOPEAGUAVITA/

Hope Agua Vita is a humanitarian mission created to bring relief to the small village of San Lorenzo, Morovis, Puerto Rico. The villagers suffered a large amount of home damage from the hurricane. All funds raised will go directly to helping rebuild local homes and community buildings.

Our first trip to the village was in November 2017 to assess the damages and meet the locals.  We were overwhelmed with the extent of the destruction and devastation caused by hurricane Maria.  Our goal is to teach the locals how to build more resilient homes to withstand future hurricanes.

In late January we took a team of 12 Canadian volunteers to San Lorenzo and rebuilt and repaired the roofs of 4 homes and began teaching locals the advanced building skills needed to make their homes more hurricane-resilient. With the skills they learned, the locals continued repairing their concrete roofs once the mission team returned to Canada. HOPE Agua Vita is returning May 5-12 with a larger group of volunteers to continue rebuilding as many homes and roof systems as fundraising allows ... and to continue the training of locals on advanced house framing techniques. We thank all those who are supporting the missions in any way they can. When asked "why", team members say "because we can, we have so much expertise in our building tradespeople and the hurricane Maria disaster created so many people in need, and we have the ability to help, with compassion, to change lives." HOPE Agua Vita is planning to return to San Lorenzo again in November 2018 to continue the rebuilding.
Please give as generously as you can to this mission, and we encourage companies to come on board as sponsors.
