"The power of community to create health is far greater than any physician, clinic or hospital" - Mark Hyman

The Bueno Para Todos Agricultural Cooperative has a mission to create rural economic development through sustainable agriculture. The health of any community includes its economy and food security. It was therefore imparative that the farmers in our community needed to come together, share resources through cooperative and be part of increasing overall wellbeing in the Pecos River Valley.

In November of 2016, we completed the construction of our first hoop house and only after five days it was destroyed by a wind storm. We reached out to our community at that time and many of you ansered the call making donations and sharing resources. After months of hard work and seas of redtape we were able to recover 3/4 of the funds lost from the USDA's Equitable Relief Program. We are so close to our goal of resurrecting the hoop house and getting back to growing.

Your tax deductible donation will go toward recovering the remaining costs of the rebuild which now include additional fixtures to fortify the structure. We thank you in advance for your contributions, shares and well wishes.

Bueno Para Todos is a project of the El Valle Women's Collaborative. Fiscal sponsorship is provided by the New Mexico Community Foundation.

This weekend we were able to finish the east side entrance on the hoop house! Thank you to volunteers Scott and Rosie Davis for showing up to help us! We framed the east side and installed the door. The BPT crew also was able to finish the clean up of the hoop house by weeding and hauling out all the debris.
We added an additional layer of plastic to the west side of the hoop house in order to ensure protection. The students are looking forward to building an additional raised bed with grant money next weekend we take a trip up.
We had two of our amazing BPT crew cook and feed our group with so much love!
Sunday morning we also painted signage to add community accessibility to the hoop house. Some signs were for specific plants while some were quotes like "Agua es vida."

The autumn season is upon us. We are continuing to fundraise. The spring and summer seasons were packed with lots of helping hands and many successes. We have been so busy with projects staying current on social media with updates has taken a back seat. But we are back at it and we need your help.

In the spring my long time homegirl Charlene Ramirez- Mares and principal of La Academia brought her students all the way from Denver to help Bueno Para Todos with the hoop house. In the early summer, our dear friend Maceo Martinet brought students from his water studies program, Querencia Institute. We had a beautiful ceremony to pray for the Pecos River and waters around the world. This week Maceo returned with his new intern and we developed a farm plan for a food forest, pollinator garden, and a watering system.

Later in the summer Tony Christopher, our farming angel, arrived. In exchange for a place to park his trailer, Tony completed several projects on the land including setting up a watering system and building our new chicken tractor replacing our large chicken coop that burned down in a fire in late spring. The new hens began laying just over a month ago and are very happy in their chicken tractor. Yoli continues to give the chickens lots of love and keeps them fed and watered.

BPT remains blessed with the support of the students from the United World College-USA visiting us monthly. In October 2017, the students came for the first week-long Southwest studies program led by our fierce soul sister Tara Trudell. They were inspired by the work of BPT and realized they could make a positive impact. The students co-designed an Experiential Education Program. We could not have done it without these amazing earth warriors.

The new year's class of students are here tonight for an overnight stay. Today we finished the billowing on the hoop house, harvested the last of the tomatoes and built two raised beds today. It was absolutely incredible! In the morning we will finish filling of the raised beds with compost. On behalf of BPT, thank you for your continued support. It is through your support that we can are able to do this work and be a source of inspiration to ourselves and to others.
