Hoof Haven Horses

$4,070 of $30,000 goal

Raised by 46 people in 1 month
On Valentines Day we got over 4 inches of rain which resulted in our small creek turning into a raging uncontrollable river.  We lost our crossing to the back of the ranch along with several pens.
The creek then changed course and took out all our senior horse pens in its path. All those horses had to be evacuated for their safety.  Our water well now is inoperable
I need to rebuild these pens and bring the horses home as well as rebuild our crossing so we have access to all the horses in backside of ranch.   We also need to have the water well fixed
We lost a tremendous amount of land and fill dirt and equipment is desperately needed

Bill is a one man team processing dirt as we are fortunate enough to get it. Amazing how many truck loads it takes to fill in just a few feet of lost property.
Making progress. Hoping one horse gets a shelter back before rain. Sad seeing the horses facing their shelters but unable to use them. Minis still up the street having fun. We get it done

It’s a long slow process as Bill is doing the labor himself. Some things might never get restored due to costs but the ranch will move on. We are thankful for the donated dirt we have received and for donated used fencing that we need to tear down and haul over.
Thankful to
Our neighbor up the street that continues to care for my 5 minis that still don’t have a pen but are happy and healthy

It’s a slow long process putting the ranch back together and Bill is putting in very long days but the broken water line has been repaired and one more horse returned to her original stall in back.
Bill should have one more large stall useable today but of course all stalls where the Victorian Shelters are cannot be use those shelters due to safety.
Parking lot is getting more useable and all fresh hay has been delivered.
All horses are home and safe except the five minis that continue to stay at a very generous customers home. Some of my students paid them a visit today and gave them much needed exercise.
Thank you everyone for donations.

Update. Thanks to so many volunteers today all debris in down stalls in back and turn out ring has been removed. One of the four displaced horses was able to be returned to his pen. 8 of the 13 evacuated horses are home today in modified stalls as we were able to repurpose some of the wood. It will take much more time to bring back the other five as so much dirt is needed to rebuild lost land and stalls.
The out pouring if support is amazing and we thank you.
