Honor mom...protect the vulnerable

Donation protected
For my birthday this year...please help me honor the dear Mom I lost...and perhaps a loved one no longer in your life...in a TRULY meaningful way...by protecting the most vulnerable.
Many have asked as my birthday approached..."How are you going to celebrate?!!!"  After much heartfelt reflection...it became clear...not through a party, trip, or gifts...but by honoring Mom and her heart for others by helping protect the most vulnerable in her memory.  You see, I had a habit in recent years of bringing Mom flowers on my birthday...as a simple and special way of sincerely thanking the wonderful lady who of course personally hosted my "birth day"...and helped make every one thereafter signficant and touching.  With Mom's passing...I can't bring her flowers anymore...which has made me a little sad honestly this year.  So on a recent quiet evening in front of the fire...this providential thought entered my heart -- "You CAN give to Mom...by giving to OTHERS in her honor."

So join me...in honoring mom...and that special one you may have lost (and please feel free to share if your gift is in memory of another loved one)...by protecting some of the most vulnerable (frail elderly, people with disabilities, and young children) through distribution of 500 SAFELY OUT Kits (for evacuating those living alone) and 2,500 SAFFELY OUT Door Hangers (for those in institutional settings like elder care facilities.)  3,000 who need our help will be better protected during disasters...a genuinely meaningful gift.

With continued threat of flooding this a very timely and imporant need, so our goal is to get these evacuation kits and notification door hangers
(that let first repsponsders and others know if a vulnerable person "NEEDS HELP" or is "SAFELY OUT") into their hands very soon.

On behalf of Mom...who lived sacrificially  and loved generously...and those vulnerable who will be better protected...a heartfelt "THANK YOU."

Have a great day...and may you find warm blessing in your giving.
