Honeymoon Survivors

If there was a true love story that has overcome so many challenges and then faced a life or death situation together well this is it!  April and Shane almost lost their lives a couple of days ago when the fires in Paradise, California overtook their neighborhood and they raced out their home for safety.  Only to be trapped in the firestorm trying to escape in their vehicle, then police told them to leave the vehicle and run for their lives.  A good Samaritan came to there rescue and put them in the back of their pick-up truck to race to safety.  

They made it to safety later that evening.  But, there is a bigger story to all of this.  Shane and April were just married over a year ago.  When April became deathly sick and had to postpone their honeymoon to Disney Land.  After a year of being in and out of hospitals, she struggled with a diagnosis of her sickness.  April and Shane were always positive, strong and always gave thanks to others during this time. 

Finally, after a year of being in and out of hospitals, they discovered her disease (Lupus).  April started to regain strength and she still dreamed of her honeymoon with Shane.  Just a couple of weeks ago April and Shane were able to get to Disney Land.  Her spirits lifted and they made it to Disney Land which was truly a dream for both of them. 

Days later after their return, while they shared their amazing photo’s with so many of us, we only learned that they were running for their lives from the fire. 

They have lost their home, vehicle, their town and much more.  They have each other but now they need your help.

April and Shane need your help with medication, living costs, travel expenses and starting a new chapter.
