Single mother living yards from bayou lost everything due to the flooding recently experience in our Houston area. First the Memorial day flooding devastated the family, where they lost everything. 911 advised her to stay put, and ride it out, as it was too dangerous to get in or out of her area. She is alone with her two girls whom she has raised by herself since babies. The family has experienced a second hit with all the April devastation Houston is experiencing. She lives without support or family support of any kind. She has been both mom and dad to her girls, as well as caretaker to her elderly parents, her mother has passed away from cancer, whom she cared for through hospice and died in front of her. Immense loss and tragedy has plagued this family, this nurse. Living yards from the Bayou, the home is now overrun by huge SNAKES due to the flooding. The home is unlivable and not safe to live in. the family is forced to seclude themselves in a small room of the house about 10 by 12 ft. the small room leaks and part of the ceiling is caving in... water collects in buckets everytime it rains. the tiny room is cut off from the rest of the small home, due to the black mold and snakes. the other closed off area is unacessible due to snakes, and black mold, deteriotaion and huge leaks, ceiling caving in. She has no family support, money or resources or a way to cook, no stove, refrigerator, washer drier, none of the much needed appliances used in daily living of a family. Simply put, experienced too much loss and unable to function at this point. Unable to get back on her feet and provide a safe, normal life for her girls. This is a Houston Nurse out of work due to illness and sole provider for her family. She has cared for others most of her life and helped and cared for others in their time of need. She needs help. She needs your help. She finds herself in desperate need for shelter, a safe place to live, food, resources and a new start in life. Please, please, please help this family that has no one to turn to for help or support. They are out of options... and quickly running out of time...
