family in dire need of help

In our small town of Leola Pennsylvania, there is a father and his disabled daughter living in their van and you can help!

They are currently working with a group in Lancaster to help them get temporary housing however, they have yet to hear when housing might be available. A group of volunteer firefighters decided they wanted to help this family. These firefighters have worked on the van to get the heat restored as the temperatures continue to drop here in Pennsylvania. The firefighters have paid for the parts and done the mechanical work themselves. A local business owner has offered to do the state and emission inspections for free if the firefighters can get the van in good order.

This is where we can all help these firefighters care for this family. There are still many parts needed to get their van through inspection. Would you be willing to help? Even the smallest amounts are helpful. The goal of the firefighters is to provide this family a working, warm, fueled van until they can be placed in a temporary home.

These volunteer firefighters already sacrifice as they run into dangerous circumstances when others are running out. They have devoted their lives, outside of their regular jobs, to serving their community by responding to emergencies. This family, living in their van, is just one more way they have found to help a family that is in need.
