HOME Project Back to School

The HOME Project is a wonderful non-profit which helps unaccompanied minor refugees in Greece.  These are very brave children under the age of 18 years old who for many reasons are alone (their parents were killed, they were separated along the way as they fled war, their parents encouraged them to leave alone to try to reach family members in peaceful countries, etc...).  

The HOME Project manages 5 warm homes in Athens where over 100 children now live as they go to school and figure out how to rebuild their lives.  They are loved and taken care of by a team of angels who somehow do wonders with very little.  

My children and I have had the pleasure to spend time with the children at HOME Project and were so touched & humbled.  There is s lot of pain and sadness but also enormous amounts of love and hope....

Well, on the 6th and 7th of September it’s Back to School for the HOME Project children and I will be traveling to Greece to do whatever I can to help the wonderful team there make it as serene and happy as possible....

They have told me that they are inmuch neec of:

·         Underwear both for boys and girls (Ages 15-17).

·         Hygiene Products (Shampoo, Soap Toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc)

·         Toiletries for girls (hygiene pads & tampons, conditioner, cream, etc)

- Art supplies (paint, brushes, canvasses, etc...)

- Smartphonez (new or old!)

Also Console Games (Playstation, Xbox etc.)
and DVD Players would be super appreciated  by the kids who long to lead a normal life and play in the global playground...
