Home for Kitty and Ava

Donation protected
Hi everyone!  My name is Kristy Davis and I am setting up this GoFundMe for my friend and coworker Kitty Kirkpatrick.  Kitty is a wonderful, kind, compassionate, hard-working, single-mom, who recently fell victim of an unscrupulous contractor named Brandon Christiansen.  Without help from our community, Kitty and her eight year old daughter, will be left homeless and in financial ruin.  Kitty is not looking for a free house. Kitty will be responsible for the full loan amount, we’re only trying to replace money stolen by the contractor and pay those subcontractors who have completed work and not been paid.

Kitty would never ask for help herself, so I am asking for her. Kitty needs $120,000 to complete this project and has no where else to turn. I'm hoping you can open your hearts to help this hard working single mom recoup her funds for her and Avas home to be complete.

Kitty took out a construction loan from Great Plains National Bank. Kitty became concerned about the amount of money being withdrawn by the builder, with only a fraction of the work complete and contacted her loan officer at the bank. When the bank looked at the amount that had been withdrawn and sent an inspector out to check on the progress of the home, they determined that the scam artist (Brandon Christiansen) was able to produce false documents in order to get the bank to mis-appropriate the funds.  It was also determined that none of the subcontractors had been paid for their work either.

Kitty consulted an attorney, who believes that she has a case but because of the pending cases against the contractor it would take years to resolve.  Leaving Kitty and her eight year old daughter, with no place to live and the responsibility of paying back a loan for a house she never got.  Now all is in jeopardy; she stands to lose her home, her animals, her child's security and be stuck with a loan that provided nothing. Kitty is currently living on her land in a small, bumper pull camper trailer that was loaned to her by a friend.  The bank has already started repayment on the interest on the house, so Kitty cannot afford to find another place for her and her daughter to live.

There is about $42,000.00 remaining of the loan to finish Kitty’s house. It’s been estimated by a couple different contractors, that it will take $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 to finish the construction of her house. This amount does not include paying the subcontractors that had previously not been paid for the work they had completed. Kitty will still be responsible for the entire loan even if the house is completed with our help.

This is where you can so graciously help. Dig deep and ask yourself how can I help this person who has gone above and beyond to help others in our community and at her job. She needs donations from you now; even if you can only give $10 or $10,000 it will all work to achieve our goal and her house. If you're a builder, supplier or know of someone that could help supply brick, insulation, sheetrock, windows, cabinets, doors, plumbing, electrical materials and so much more this would be wonderful. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!
