Holly and Tom walk for Kit

Recently some dear friends of ours had a new baby boy, "Kit" - words cannot express how saddened we were to learn that after only 13 days of life, their new baby boy was rushed to the Evelina London Children's Hospital with an undiagnosed HSV1 (herpes simplex type 1) virus and didn't make it.

It soon became clear that Kit’s death had been preventable and that the lack of knowledge around the transmission, recognition and treatment of the virus had led to his tragic and untimely death.

The two have now set up a charity to prevent newborn baby deaths through research and education.

Inspired to help them, we have decided to raise money and take part in their sponsored walk on 15th July.
