Now that our initial campaign is finished, we are making sure the camp is available to as many people as possible with our Send a Kid to Camp Program!
By donating $500, you can give a child the full school experience.
I am Maddy Kirstein, and this is our project.
I am leading a group of creative magic-loving fans living in British Columbia, who have been working for the past few years to weave a magical and interactive overnight experience.
The idea stemmed from a small scale camp back in 2015, and ever since we have been trying to bring this dream to reality, a dream that could come true this August.
Over a period of three days, we’ll be premiering our live action role-playing magic camp for youth. We’ve worked with many amazing professionals and peers in order to create a fully immersive and unique magical world, made solely by volunteers.
The event will be held at Shawnigan Lake School, with an enchanting campus complete with a wonderful Willow tree, lake, and forest to meet all sorts of creatures.. You’ll go on exciting quests to earn house points, interact with wizards and fae, and explore the mysteries of the castle.
It is still a school, albeit a magical one, and you’ll be learning about all manner of magical subjects, including but not limited to: Divination (tea leaves and tarot), Herbology (salves and essential oils), Potions (herb properties and tea brewing), Darks Magic and Protection (micro- expressions, lying, body language), and many more fascinating topics.
Why are we doing this?
We’re trying to foster creativity, leadership skills, and critical thinking in youth; all things that the Pacific School of Innovation and Inquiry teaches. I am a learner there and am grateful for how much they have helped us create something beautiful, and continue to support us every day.
The thing is, to truly bring the dream to life, I need your help.
With your generous donations, you’ll be helping dreams come true by securing the location for the camp and other necessary funding.
