Hogar San Camilo De Lellis

Three years ago my husband and I instead of giving gifts to ourselves and our children we decided to spent our Christmas savings on less fortunate children in Ecuador, the country in which I was born. We gather gifts, brought them to Ecuador and made food and candy baskets and delivered them to unknowing villages deep in the Andes Mountains to children and parents who couldn't even afford shoes and adequate clothing. The following year we found an orphanage in Loja  for disable girls from the age of one month plus, run by an Argentinean Congregation and stays running only by donations. On my visit to this beautiful place I felt in love with every girl I met, and saw only hope, happiness and love in their eyes and actions even after 90% of them are drop on their door step left behind by their families who are unable to take care of the needs of these beautiful children and will never see their family again. It is my hope that the kindness and generosity of the people reading this post will keep this piece of hope and dreams alive for many years to come.
