Joshy's Medical Fund

Joshua is my 11-year-old son and a joy to our lives. He was a failure to thrive baby for reasons unknown resulting in global delays and a diagnosis of having an intellectual disability. Currently, he operates with the mentality of a young preschooler.  Last November we noticed his gait being off more than usual (he's always been unsteady and a toe walker) but this time his left shoulder began to droop whether walking or sitting. In time he began to walk with his head and shoulder to the left, causing him to go off balance even more. He was observed at the gait clinic at Denver Children's Hospital and the orthopedic surgeon recommended surgery on his left foot and ankle, which he had done in May of 2015. The MRIs of his head, neck. and spine did not show anything remarkable. His spine began showing more of a curve in May and this past summer especially the past month his condition has been rapidly deteriorating. He has seen the neurologist and will be seeing genetics soon. None of the specialists he's seen have an idea of what is going on.  In the near future he'll be having genetic testing, a muscle and nerve test, and a swallow study. His pain is increasing, he cannot walk without hanging onto something or using his wheelchair.  Despite it all he is in good spirits, loving on others. Joshua is our darling blessing, and we have learned to lean on our Sovereign God.  Thank you for taking the time to read, pray, and if able, contribute to help with Joshy's growing medical bills.
