Baby Barrett's open heart surgery

The Hohensee family is overjoyed to be welcoming child number four in January. We are all eager to meet baby Barrett. We are also all praying that he is strong. At the 20 week ultrasound we were devastated to find out he has a congenital heart defect called hypo plastic left heart syndrome. His left ventricle is severely underdeveloped and once he is born will not be able to pump blood out of his heart to his body. He will require at least three open heart surgeries. The first will take place within his first week of life when his heart is roughly the size of a walnut. He will be in the ICU  for at least a month. We just pray everyday that he is a fighter and makes it home to his eagerly awaiting family. We appreciate everyone's prayers and support.
