Caelum's Final Expenses

On Nov 18, late, my seizure response dog Caelum started vomiting. Then he did it again. And again. As part of my standard "Vomit 3 times and you are going to the doctor I don't care who you are" policy, I started to look for vets in the area who could see him. He was still dry heaving and foaming.
I call the emergency vet in Gainsville GA, an hour away, just watch the dog and worry in the morning.
I kept looking for vets and by Nov 19 2014, 1 am, we were on the way to "Mountain Emergency Animal Center" in Blue Ridge, GA.
They brought him back to x-ray and found a huge chunk of air (bloat basically) and they said things are probably all twisted and worst case scenario was that spleen and stomach were dead and they needed to have easy access to me. Unfortunately, the worst case scenario is what happened and he had to be euthanized during surgery.
It cost over $1800 which I had to put on my Discover card.
I'm living in a small cabin in the woods with no heat and I collect food stamps. I do not have a job as no one wants to hire someone with a seizure history and it's going to be a challenge to pay this bill. I will be grateful for every donation that is made.
Or if you, like many other people don't want to donate to someone you don't know, I am sure Caelum, who was deaf from birth, would appreciate a donation to the Deaf Dog Education Action Fund in his memory ( http://deafdogs.org/ ) to help other owners of deaf dogs give their dogs a good life.
RIP Caelum, 2006-2014, my big deaf blue eyed baby. You were the best service dog someone could ask for and you proved that deaf dogs are some of the best dogs you can get. I am so glad that I challenged that vet who said your life wasn't worth it.
