It has come to my attention, that sadly, there are a few Big Red Band students, who will not be attending competition in Orlando Florida, March 3, 2016.
They will not be attending because, for whatever reason, they are financially unable.
Despite numerous fundraising attempts and personal contributions, they have simply fallen short.
It is my hope, that we, as a community, can send every child who wants to go.
These are the kids that go to every game, practice, parade, function, and competition they are required to attend.
These kids deserve our support. Let's come together and show them they are important and deserving.
$2,800 (total), due by February 15, 2016, will enable each student to quite possibly have a once in a lifetime experience. This allows them to march beside their fellow band members, just as they do here at home for us.
Every donation, however big or small, will make a difference.
Essentially, we are investing in the lives of the future leaders of our beautiful community.
I have been overwhelmed by an outpouring of support, kindness, and encouragement. It makes me proud to say, "Once a Big Red, Always a Big Red"

Notation of donation for the 3-3-16 Disney Competition will ensure monies be used solely for this trip.
If we raise more then the needed $2,800, excess will go towards all band students unpaid balances. After that, the excess will be put into the PHS BIG RED BAND BOOSTERS account.
I know the kids are appreciative and excited to possibly have this well deserved opportunity.
