Fran has been diagnosed with a glioma brain tumor in her left frontal lobe, approximately a centimeter away from the language centre. Surgery is planned once her seizures are under control, but that is just the start. The financial burden is huge - medication, chemotherapy, radiation, physical therapy, support/counseling. $32,000 is the tip of the iceberg in meeting some of these financial obligations; and, it is only a projection for the first year of treatment.
